Maple Heroes are always looking for bigger, better items with which to slay more and more evil monsters. The coming of the evil Dragonoir brings with it an opportunity to acquire such precious goods--the all new Durability Items!

What are Durability Items?
Durability Items are incredibly strong weapons that will drastically increase your adventurer’s abilities. In addition to their granted powers, Durability Items can obtain a number of additional attributes. (Players may check these out simply placing the cursor over the item).

How do I increase a Durability Item’s powers?
Regular items’ powers are increased by using scrolls. Durability Items’ abilities are increased in a similar fashion, but they use “Tablets” that drop from mob bosses. Unlike scrolls, Tablets are specific to a weapon type:

One-handed Weapon Tablet
One-handed Sword, One-handed Axe, One-handed Blunt Weapon, Dagger, Wand, Staff

Two-handed Weapon Tablet
Two-handed Sword, Two-handed Axe, Two-handed Blunt Weapon, Spear, Polearm, Bow, Cross Bow, Claw, Knuckle, Gun

Armor Tablet
Upperwear, Bottomwear, Overall, Helmet, Shield, Cape, Shoes, Gloves

Accessory Tablet
Earrings, Face Accessory, Eye Accessory, Pendant, Medal, Belt

Each time a tablet is used the success rate gradually decreases. No Tablets come with a fixed success rate. Scrolls do not work on Durability Items.

Where can I get Durability Items?
Durability Items are acquired by slaying the mighty Dragonoir from the Dragon Rider Party Quest.

Why are they called “Durability Items”?
The down side of a Durability Item’s power is that they wear down with use. Just like real items though, they can be repaired and reused.

How do I repair Durability Items?
Once an item’s Durability reaches 0%, it can no longer be equipped. In order to repair it, just take it to one of these NPCs for repair. Items can also be preemptively repaired before they reach 0% Durability.

Vicious, Henesys
Mr. Thunder, Perion
Mr. Smith, Perion
Francois, Ellinia
JM From tha Streetz, Kerning City
Chris, Kerning City
Chrishrama, Sleepywood
Serryl, Nautilus
Vogen, El Nath

Can I trade Durability Items?
You can trade a Durability Item after breaking your bond with it using Platinum Scissors of Karma from the Cash Shop.

I think you'll find this is a little more than a simple name-change.

Ok, I get the impression that you don't read posts, so let me spell out the changes and hope that you read this one.

Durability items are items that have additional attributes that normal items don't have. For example, they do more damage if equipped by certain classes, or they possess a certain element on them naturally, or they do extra damage against certain mobs, etc...

The trade-off so that they're not overpowered, is that they are "durable". That means that they eventually wear out, and you will need to go and get them repaired (for some kind of fee) to continue using them.

Also, they can't be scrolled in the usual way, and a new set of scrolls (called "tablets") are released that only work on these new items.

So yes, they may just be old items with new names and new colours, but they also have a new purpose to them that makes them very different to normal items.

wow.
Its kinda like what fullysiick said that it is kinda normal only that they add extra effects and all that stuff. but to tell you the truth, its like using the same weapon but with extra effects.
Plus the Platinum SoK is just another way for them to suck more money from us, think about it, a simple weapon, add a few special effects and a suggestively cool addition like durability along with 'special' tablets that act like scrolls and you have a new weapon from the same one that is normal. Then to finish it off, you can sell it EXCEPT you NEED another SoK that costs 4K NX. You can't think that we won anything new with the introduction of this, can you?
We get a crappy special powered item with durability, wanna sell it but find out we need more NX to get rid of it by selling.

Its Just a Nexon Thing... You always lose when you vs them.
