Whats with the adds?

Okays i know that companies pay big bucks for peeps to add adds onto websites
but rob? did u seriously have to??
I keep seeing those "you are the 999999999 visitor" things
and everyone knows when u clik and complete the offer ur comp gets virus
u can even get virus by just clikign it
So why u admit these adds?

The "Ads by Google" appear to be "smart ads" to me, in the sense that they only advertise things that are vaguely related to the content of the page they're on.

As such, I see several ads for mesos and NX Cash around the place, but I've never seen anything like the one you are describing.

Perhaps you could take a screenshot and upload a picture of what your ads look like. It might be a symptom of a larger problem on your end.

i have never seen such an ad on this site before, and... i would remove the ads if i COULD. it is there by default, i have no control over it, only if i pay some money will i be able to remove them.

maybe we should set up donations? :L

Ok, just so we're clear then Rob. If I find a way to remove the ads from the site, I have permission to do so? You didn't want them here for a reason?

to remove the ads for all the members it will cost money, i'd prefer them to not be here, yes.

but i would prefer us to spend some money on getting some more storage space first then the ads could come later. the storage space is because forumotion just made a new update which allows us to really easily add attachments to our posts (i'll make a thread on that feature later), i've never actually used it, but it looks useful. perhaps you'd like to give it a try.

thing is, we're only given 20MB by default and from memory i think we can buy like... 500MB for 5-10 bucks, pretty cheap.

so yeah, i'd think that the storage space would be our top priority, in terms of buying something for the site. that reminds me, i'm gonna really update this website during the anniversary. mind helping me look for some new themes?

heres a solution to avoiding those ads..

roll your eyes approx 15 degrees downwards..
that way you wont be looking at the ads =)
